The BMW IBU World Cup Biathlon 2019/20 Pokljuka started on Tuesday with official training. Until Sunday, more than 300 biathletes from 32 countries will participate on Pokljuka, including the leading names of the world biathlon.
This year’s World Cup is a test event for next year’s WCH. Athletes will for the first time try updated and slighty changed tracks, organizers important upgrades regarding the organization.
Competitions start on Thursday. First will start men with a 20 km individual race, while the women will compete in a 15 km individual event on Friday. Saturday is reserved for single mixed and mixed relays. The World Cup on Pokljuka Plateau will end on Sunday with men’s and women’s mass start races.
