The organizers of the IBU World Championships Biathlon 2021 Pokljuka have hoped until the last that the epidemiological situation of the COVID-19 pandemic will improve, and at least some spectators will be allowed in Triglav Stadium at Rudno Polje.
Different scenarios have been prepared for the arrival of 500, 3500 or even more spectators. However, the health situation has prevented the attendance of most loyal biathlon fans.
The organizers still hope that symbolically they will be able to host at least some health care workers. The organizing committee is well aware that they have put enormous efforts in order to contain the spread of the disease that has stopped the world, so they would like to thank them for their work which has not been unnoticed.
