Daily and smooth food and drink delivery to the location of this year’s IBU World Championships Biathlon is the challenge itself because of the high altitude. During the first week of the World Championships, delivery was additionally challenging because of adverse weather conditions – extremely low temperatures and snowy roads.
Mercator Cash&Carry plays the key role in delivering food and drinks to Pokljuka. Mercator is providing foods and drinks for athletes, their teams, organizing representatives, and also for hotel guests of Pokljuka Centre, where some teams live during the Championships.
For more than 20 years, Mercator has been a partner of the organisation of the biathlon World Cup races, so it is no surprise that they are providing food products also during the biggest Pokljuka event – World Championships.
At Mercator Cash&Carry, they are admitting that the IBU World Championships Biathlon 2021 in Pokljuka is one of the most challenging sports events in Slovenia, looking through the eyes of organizers.
